It’s been a long season full of adventures, new trciks, new shows in new countries that I never been before. This year I started my season and also finished it in Cambodia, and that with a BANG. I mean the event that KTM Cambodia organised was mindblowing. More about this later. This time I took my mechanic Denis with me to show him what Cambodia is all about. He was never in Asia before so the trip was quite exciting for him. We took few days off and went adventurizing. We decided to visit Shinoukvile beach and then back to Phnom Penh to prapare my freestyle bike for the live show.

We choosed the long 5 hours bus trip to the beach to feel like a true turists and we were surprised when we saw that the bus had an Wi-Fi onboard, Air Con and so on … was in the end quite a comfy ride but still long 🙂

We didn’t loose any time when we arrived there and switched to the exploring mode fast since we had only 2 days free time. A tuk tuk ride was a must, actualy that is my favorite thing to do while visiting Asia 😀 Still asking my self if I could wheelie it 😛

Then after we bought the fresh fruits and eating them there comes a tough break in the story I got a severe food poisoning and landed in hospital for two days … I felt like I’m dying with puking all over the place and what not, but with the help of the local hospital and strong mix of medicine I recovered after 2 days in hospital and was ready to take the long bus drive (the plane tickets were sold out) back to Phnom Penh and be just in time for the show. I already knew this will be a huge strougle to make it happen.

Right after my first morning practice the next day I felt really dizzy and I rode only for 3 minutes. The body was not ready yet and I was really stressed out how to perform for full 20min. later on the afternoon that day. I forced my self to try to put some food into my boddy to get some energy back, soI  took the perscripted medicine and just hoped for the best.

The first show was quite OK,I missed the adrenaline that is usualy there, then on the second show the adrenaline kicked in in full speed and for the 20min. I didn’t feel any pain and dizzynes so I could finish up the RokON show and the 2 hours long signing session that followed after it.

Lot’s of time people don’t really realize how much energy and focus goes into making my shows possible and then sometimes unexpected stuff like this happens. Lots of times I am on the edge with my energy and can barely stay on my feet after months of touring around the world, but I say to my self “show must go on” bite in my tounge and push trough because I know there will a revard on the end and this is big smile on peoples faces when I finish the RokON shows …

Ok back to the happy stuff … So what I always like to do is meet my dukers and invite them to ride with me in a convoy to the live show. And boy they surprised me this time. Already on the first show in Cambodia in January earlier this year, they came in a huge number, but this time the streets were full when we rolled together to the show. It was amazing to see how the Duke family grow in Cambodia in just 10 months. I can for shure say that KTM Duke and RC bikes are the most popular street bikes in Cambodia. You will be amazed how manny KTM’s you can find on the streets.

Let’s roll boys … Time to shine 300+ Dukers

The show area setup was of the hook, big sound system, light effects, DJ, perfect surface for landing the hard technical tricks, heaven for every stuntrider. Once again BIG respect to the KTM Cambodia team to prepare an event on such a high level!

Without this guy in front of me the whole season would not be possible, he is a true hard worker and shares the same passion for two wheels as me … In the end he brought my almost dead body full of puke and shit to the hospital and helped me come back to life. Thanks Denis to believe in me and stay on my side when it’s getting tough – RokON!

Pics from the first and second show combined 😉

On my last show the adrenaline was pumping and I had so much fun riding my bike that I totaly forget about my stomach ache. The show was done and when you look at the line for the signing session I think my fans enjoyed it also.

Quality time with my fans 🙂

It’s been an amazing last show of the seasson with lot’s of ups and downs, but it was worth it. Seing so much passion for bike riding and the respect what I got from the fans, just gave me the extra motivation for the winter preparations for the new upcoming season where I want to learn and show tricks and style. What I can also already confirm, is that I will be back to Cambodia next year, until then, stay safe on the road and RokON!

Already on the way back home for Christmas 😀

Thanks for reading,

Rok
